APASA was founded in 2006, and operates on the site in sixteen communities: Tiririca, Salobro, Boa Vista, Gravará, Owl, Jacú, Sítio do Meio, Waterfall, Manoel João, Lagoinha, Lagoa dos Caboclos, Jurucutú, Riacho do Meio, Poço Cercado and Chora Pena, both in the municipality of Jataúba.
